It's been a while since I've posted anything news worthy, so here goes ...

Seems I've won another High Five Award this year for my sketchcards with 5FINITY Productions, more on this later when I know more.

I've been working on stacks of Sketchcards, here's a few :

Mars Attacks (book specials) - IDW

DAWN - New Dawn - Breygent Marketing

Suzette - Female Persuasion - 5FINITY Productions

Rock for Kids , Moonshine Missies, Mighty Zombies, Kinky Clown Girls, Angels & Demons - Marty & Boo

and a dozen other sets I can't even think of at the moment.

I've also been working on my own artworks such as Hillbilly Postcards, some charity art pieces and some random crazy hot rod art for whatever reason.

So things have been busy here in the Hole in the Wall. Hope to post some pictures when I have time.

So this is just general news about stuff I'm working on.

Was invited to do a Mural Wall at Club Six's Basement Bar, I'll be doing a Street Scene from my Alley Cats Comic. I'll be starting on it this week and will shoot a series of photos as I go.

Working on a Mermaid Tattoo Design for a local celebrity, Shotzi Blackheart one of the KOFY Movie Time Cave Girls.

Trying to raise funds for supplies for some painting projects as I'm trying to get back into painting large peices. Doing computer graphics and sketch cards for so long have ruining my painting skills, so I need to work on that desperately.

Hoping to get back into doing a bit of Airbrushing later this year. Some of you may remember I was well know for my Airbrushing some 15 or so years ago.

That's all I can think of at the moment, though I'm sure theres a lot more I'm forgetting.

So, this Saturday (July 28th) I'll be at the Cartoon Art Museum (SF) with a bunch of my artist friends drawing funny monsters for kids.

I hope lots of people will come see us, get sketches (make Museum donations I hope) and get their picture taken with Johnnystein, Dracula and Murray the Mummy too !

Well I just about pooped my pants last night when I got the email telling me I had won a place in the 5FINITY Second Annual High Five Awards as "Most Original Artist" !

I don't win many Awards, mostly due to not trying out for awards or contest, so winning an award based on Fan & Dealer choice without knowing I was even up for it, is PRETTY FREAKIN' AWESOME :)

Thanks to everyone voted and thanks to all the hot babes I had to draw to get this award and thanks to all the little people (muchkins, smurfs, wee folks, etc) I crushed along the way to get here.

Space Scooter Girl Saves Xmas - Comic

Ok, first a little quick background info on this. Originally this was going to be part of a little anthology book a few of us wanted to put together for Christmas ... well, best layed plans and all that jazz.

Bottom line, book didn't happen but at least I got my short story done.

The art could be cleaner, but drawing 5 x 8 inch pages in scale on crappy paper at midnight over three days, well it kinda limits the results, but over all I came out pretty good.

First image is the character designs, originally I had no idea what I was going to write or draw for my story, all I knew was I wanted something cute, sexy and "PG" enough to not put off parents at the Xmas CAM-JAM (Decembers Cartoon Art Museum's artist Jam).

Anyway I hope you'll all enjoy this silly short story.
